Corrections

Citelink’s briefs and verification reports are produced automatically, and automated systems get things wrong. When one does, we want to hear about it and fix it in the open.

How to report a problem

Every brief and every verification report has a “Report a problem” or “Request a correction” link that opens an email with the page address filled in. You can also write to hello@citelink.news. Tell us what is wrong and, if you can, link the source that shows it.

What happens next

  • We read every report and reply to the address it came from.
  • If a published brief is wrong, we add a dated editor’s note at the top saying what was wrong, or unpublish it.
  • Verification reports are a record of what the evidence showed when the check ran. If a report is wrong, we look for the cause in the engine and fix it there, so the same mistake does not repeat.
  • Content about a private individual is removed on request.

What Citelink will not check

Citelink checks public claims: statements about public events, public figures acting in a public role, organisations, research and public data. Please do not submit claims about private individuals. Reports about them are removed when we find them or are told about them.

More on how we work

The methodology explains how a verification is built, and the editorial policy covers how briefs are chosen and how AI is used.
