Affiliate Disclosure

Citelink may include affiliate links in our briefs and on our Partners page. This page explains what that means and how it interacts with our editorial independence.

When we include an affiliate link, a tag is appended to the URL that identifies Citelink as the referrer. If you click through and make a qualifying purchase or sign-up, the partner compensates us with a small commission. You pay the same price regardless of whether the link is affiliate-tagged.

At launch, affiliate links will appear selectively — typically for tools and resources directly relevant to a brief's subject matter (newsletters, research databases, archive services). We do not blanket-partner with commercial programs. Each link is placed where it serves the reader, not where it generates the most commission.

Affiliate revenue does not influence what we verify, how we score confidence, or which stories we publish. Editorial decisions are made independently. Affiliate links are tagged at the pipeline level and are never a factor in story selection or verdict generation.

Where affiliate links appear in a brief, a “Related resources” section at the bottom of the article lists them alongside a disclosure note linking to this page. If a brief has no affiliate links, no disclosure section is shown.
