Citelink is an evidence-driven fact-checking project. We prioritize claims that affect civic life, elections, health, safety, or widely shared narratives.
How we choose claims
- Reach and potential impact of the claim.
- Relevance to civic life, elections, or public safety.
- Availability of verifiable, high-quality sources.
Evidence standards
We rely on primary documents, trusted statistical agencies, peer-reviewed research, and expert consensus where available. Anonymous sources or speculative commentary are used only when they cite documents we can independently verify.
Use of AI
AI helps surface trending claims, summarize evidence, and generate draft language. Publishing decisions, verdict labels, and corrections remain governed by explicit editorial rules and human review.
Corrections & updates
When we make a mistake, we update the article, timestamp the change, and record the revised verdict or explanation. Corrections can be requested by emailing citelink.news@protonmail.com.
Conflict of interest
Citelink does not sell verdict placement or accept paid influence over coverage. Partnerships are disclosed, and reviewers with conflicts recuse themselves from adjudicating those claims.
